What are the implications for a person losing their status with a professional body? 

A person can lose their status in a professional body for many reasons. All ways can lead to a person losing out on network opportunities, trust issues, loss of income and even reputation damage. A loss of status within a professional body has lots of implications and problems the employee must overcome. 


Describe the term ‘nation state’ 

A nation state is a country inhabited by people who share a common identity through culture, language, ethnicity, and history. 


Why would a business pay for the services of a white hat hacker? 

A white hat hacker is an ethical hacker who is given permission from the business to perform a test on company services and systems. This is all to prepare and protect the business from malicious hackers who want to hack into the business illegally and steal sensitive information. A business would hire a white hat hacker to help test systems and secure them. 


Identify two internal implications to an employee of hacking or non-compliance within the business they work for 

One implication would be that they may be fired. For example, if they are not compliant in the business, they may be asked to leave due to their unprofessional behaviour. Another implication would be that they may have legal action taken against them. This could be because of hacking which carries a breach on the computer misuse act. Businesses should clearly outline the rules of conduct when an employee joins. 

 

Explain how an employee caught hacking or non-complying can be restricted from potential employability 

An employee could be given warnings against hacking and non-compliance. These warnings will be mentioned to future opportunities which can restrict the employee’s employability. Non-compliance damages the employee’s reputation and status which will make it harder for them to find new opportunities within their sector.
