Artificial intelligence (AI) 

Artificial intelligence is a simulated intelligent model by computer systems. It uses principles of deep learning and neural networking to simulate the functions of a brain on computer hardware. AI has many useful applications including language processing and advanced statistical analysis. 

 

Internet of things (IoT) 

The internet of things is a term to describe devices that use sensors to process and exchange information with other devices. For example, smart thermostats can measure and manage the temperature of a house without human interaction making them efficient and easy to use. 

 

Robotics 

Robotics are machines created to automate tasks like manufacturing or construction. They can be used to complete very complex and intricate tasks that would take human workers lots of time to complete. 

 

Augmented reality (AR) 

AR is when 3d models and computer-generated content is combined with the real-world view. It is created by overlaying the generated content onto a camera feed and displaying it to the user on a monitor. 

 

Quantum computing 

Quantum computing is a revolutionary computing mechanic that exploits quantum physics. By using specialised hardware, quantum computers can process information exceptionally quickly and handle large amounts of data.
