1.Describe the term ‘brand differentiation’. 

Brand differentiation is the way a business identifies their brand differently from others. It makes a business more unique and recognisable. 


2.Discuss the use of virtualisation and cloud solutions by businesses and how they enable scalability and elastic computing solutions. 

Virtualisation allows companies to scale their services at lower costs. This is because they do not have to buy lots of expensive hardware to connect their employees. Cloud services also allow businesses to scale their databases as it is a cheaper way than storing data internally. 


3.Explain how unique selling points (USPs) provide useful intelligence to businesses. 

A USP can provide a business with market intelligence to tell if their product is working in the current market and market state. 


4.Describe the term ‘customer base’. 

A customer base is the ‘audience’ of a business. The customers that a business can have is varied across several groups and ages. 


5.Explain the difference between contextualising customer behaviour and digital personalisation. 

Contextualising customer behaviour relates to analysing customer data and statistics to find out what they like/what their preferences are. Digital personalisation relates to customising a customer’s digital experience to suit their preferences. For example, showing personalised ads.
